Astronaut RTP 98% and Very High volatility: what the number means and why a casino may show less

By Astronaut Game editorial teamPublished: Updated:

100HP Gaming declares an RTP of 98% for Astronaut and rates its volatility Very High, and it also tells operators it offers “RTP adjustments”, which is why a casino can show less. RTP is the share of all stakes the game pays back over a very large number of rounds, so 98% means an average loss of 2% on what is staked, not a promise for your session. This guide turns the number into rupee arithmetic and shows where to check it. Status: online gambling is not legal or regulated in Pakistan, so no Pakistani body checks any operator’s RTP for you.

What does RTP 98% actually mean?

RTP, return to player, is the share of the total amount staked that a game pays back across a huge number of rounds. At 98% the long-run average is Rs 98 returned for every Rs 100 staked; the missing 2% is the house edge. It is a property of the game’s mathematics, not of one player or one evening.

Total stakedExpected return at 98%Expected loss at 98%Expected loss at 96%
Rs 10,000Rs 9,800Rs 200Rs 400
Rs 100,000Rs 98,000Rs 2,000Rs 4,000
Rs 1,000,000Rs 980,000Rs 20,000Rs 40,000

For you: the 2% is not a fee charged once. It applies to every rupee that goes through the game, so faster rounds and Autobet reach the expected loss sooner. Staking the same money twice is the same as staking twice the amount.

Where does 98% come from, and can a casino show 97% or 96%?

The declared figure is the string “RTP 98%” in the 100hp.game bundle and in the rules of the official demo. In 100HP’s profile on LinkedIn the studio describes “flexible customization options including RTP adjustments” for operators. Affiliate pages print 96% or 97%. All three can be true at once: 98% is what the studio declares, and an operator may run another configuration.

How many rounds does it take for 98% to show up?

Far more than a session. The 98% describes millions of rounds, and in a short run luck dominates. If the declared 98% holds at every target, which is how crash games are normally built but not something 100HP publishes, the chance that a flight reaches a multiplier m is about 98 divided by m percent. Then every target has the same long-run return, and only the chance of winning differs.

Withdraw targetChance a round reaches itChance of 5 losses in a rowChance of 20 losses in a row
1.20xabout 82%0.02%under 0.001%
1.50xabout 65%0.5%under 0.001%
2.00xabout 49%3.5%under 0.001%
5.00xabout 20%34%1.3%
10.00xabout 10%60%13%

What it means for you: the table is an estimate built on the declared RTP, not a 100HP statistic. It shows why very high volatility feels as it does: a 10x target loses 20 rounds in a row more than one time in ten, and no player or tool can tell in advance which round ends the streak.

What does Very High volatility mean for your balance?

Volatility is how widely results swing around the average. On its official game card 100HP rates Astronaut “Very High”; affiliate pages write “High”, which is not the studio’s wording. Astronaut has no difficulty selector, so the risk you carry is set by one thing, the multiplier at which you press Withdraw (or preset with Autowithdrawal, as described in the client v2 guide).

Withdrawing at 1.20x to 1.50x gives frequent small results and slow movement of the balance. Waiting for 10x or more gives rare large results and long dry runs. Both have the same expected return when the RTP holds; they differ in how uncomfortable the road is. For you: pick the target you can sit through for 20 rounds without raising the bet, then judge it by your plan, not by the last flight.

Is the maximum payout the same as a maximum multiplier?

No. 100HP publishes no maximum multiplier for Astronaut. What exists is a cap on payout per bet, $10,000 in the official demo, and the game warns you when your potential win reaches it. Because the cap is in money, the multiplier at which it bites depends on the size of your bet, if it applies to the total payout as the label maxPayout suggests.

BetMultiplier at which a $10,000 cap bitesMeaning
$101,000xA small bet can run far before the cap matters
$50200xThe cap arrives much earlier
$150 (demo maximum)about 66.7xThe top bet is capped at a modest multiplier

Affiliate pages print 10,000x, 50,000x or 48,000x as Astronaut’s ceiling; those numbers are invented or belong to Red Tiger’s different game. For you: a bigger bet does not mean a bigger possible win once the cap is reached, so check Game limits at your operator, where the cap can be lower than the demo’s. The rules of the round are on the how-to-play page.

What should you do next?

Check the RTP line at the casino you plan to use, write it down with the date and run the arithmetic above with your own budget in rupees. Compare the number with what the Hash and Salt guide says a fairness check can and cannot prove, and with the other crash games in the four-game comparison. The rules of the round itself are in the kaise khele walkthrough, and if the arithmetic makes you uneasy, the responsible-gambling guide lists free help in Urdu.

Which sources back these numbers?

Facts checked on 12 October 2026. Where 100HP Gaming publishes no figure we write “not disclosed”; casinos can set their own limits and RTP, so the rules screen of the game you open always has the last word.

What else do players ask about Astronaut RTP?

Is Astronaut RTP 98% at every casino?

Not necessarily. The studio declares 98% and also offers operators “RTP adjustments”, so a casino can run a different configuration. Affiliate pages quote 96% and 97% without naming a source. Only the Rules of play of the game you open applies to your money; if the RTP line is absent, treat the value as unknown instead of assuming 98%.

Does withdrawing earlier or later change the RTP?

If the declared RTP holds at every target, no: the expected return is the same at 1.20x and at 10x, and only the chance of ending a round in profit moves, from about 82% to about 10% in the estimate above. 100HP does not publish the distribution, so this is arithmetic built on the declared 98%, not an official table.

Is Astronaut high or very high volatility?

100HP’s own card says Very High. Affiliate pages say High, but the studio is the primary source and its wording is the one to quote. With a declared RTP of 98%, very high volatility means a normal session can end far from the average in either direction, and long losing runs at high targets are ordinary.

Is there a hit rate for Astronaut?

Not disclosed. A hit rate is the share of rounds that pay anything, and in a crash game it depends on the target you choose, so 100HP publishes no single figure. The closest practical number is the chance of reaching your own target, about 98 divided by the target in percent if the declared RTP holds, which gives roughly 49% at 2.00x.

Why do Telegram groups quote a different RTP?

Because the numbers are copied or invented. A group that quotes 99% or “97% accurate” gives no source and often sells a signal subscription. The studio’s declared figure is 98%, and the predictor guide shows why no signal changes it: the crash point is fixed before the flight and the RTP is a property of the game, not of a prediction.
