Responsible gambling: staying in control of a crash game from Pakistan

Read this first. Online gambling is not legal or regulated in Pakistan, and no operator holds a Pakistani licence. Gambling can be addictive and lead to financial loss. 18+ only. Free, confidential help in English and Urdu: gamblingtherapy.org/ur. If you are in crisis, call Umang 0311-7786264 (24/7, free).

Gambling can be addictive and lead to financial loss. In Pakistan nobody sets your limits for you, so this page covers what you must do yourself and what the Astronaut game does to make that harder or easier.

Which protections exist in Pakistan, and which do not?

ProtectionIn PakistanWhat to do instead
National gambling helplineNoneUse Gambling Therapy for gambling problems and Umang or Taskeen if you are in crisis
National self-exclusion registerNoneAsk the casino whether it offers self-exclusion before you deposit; only the operator can apply it
Regulator to complain toNone: no regulator exists and no operator holds a Pakistani licenceKeep your own records and stake only what you can afford to lose
Deposit and time limitsOnly if the operator offers themLook for them in the casino’s account settings before the first deposit

To say it plainly: there is no national self-exclusion scheme in Pakistan. The only self-exclusion that can exist is the one an operator chooses to run, and nothing obliges an offshore casino to run one.

How does the way Astronaut works affect your control?

FeatureWhat it doesRisk to your budgetWhat to do
Short roundsEach round ends with Withdraw or a crash, and a new one starts after a short countdownRounds follow each other quickly, so the number you play adds up fastFix the number of rounds before you open the game
Two bet panelsYou can place up to two separate bets in one roundEach panel is a separate stakeCount both panels as money at risk
AutobetRepeats the same bet every round without a new decisionIt removes the pause in which you would normally stopUse it only with a fixed number of rounds and switch it off when you stop watching
Autowithdrawal (default 2.00x)Ends a bet automatically at the multiplier you setIt does not improve your odds, and raising the target after a loss is chasingSet the target once, before the session
History chipsBlue, green, yellow and red marks show past roundsThey invite you to read patterns, but every round is independentIgnore them when you decide on a bet
Very High volatilityThe studio’s own card gives this ratingLong runs of crashes are normalBudget for a bad run before you start

What does a 98% RTP mean for your budget?

The declared RTP is 98%. Over a very long run and across all players, Rs 98 of every Rs 100 staked comes back. What counts is the total you stake, not the balance on the screen: a Rs 100 bet repeated for 30 rounds is Rs 3,000 staked even if you never hold that much at once. On that turnover the theoretical average loss is Rs 60 at 98% and Rs 120 at 96%, a figure some affiliate pages quote for casino settings.

That average says nothing about one evening. With Very High volatility a session can end at zero in a few rounds, so decide how many rounds you will play first and the size of the bet second.

Which warning signs should you act on?

  • You stay longer, or stake more, than the plan you made before opening the game.
  • You raise the bet or the Autowithdrawal target to win back a loss.
  • You borrow from family, friends or a wallet agent to keep playing, or use someone else’s JazzCash or Easypaisa account.
  • You pay for “signals” or a “predictor” to recover money.
  • You hide the play from the people close to you, or think about it for most of the day.
  • The game has stopped being fun and you carry on anyway.

If one of these fits, stop for the day and talk to someone, using the services below.

Which rules protect your money?

  1. Set a loss budget and a time limit before you open the game, and write them down.
  2. When either is reached, stop. Do not top up “once more”.
  3. Never borrow to play, and never lend your wallet account to anyone.
  4. Do not play when you are tired, angry or upset.
  5. Keep wallet PINs and one-time passwords private, and ignore anyone who asks for them.

How do you keep minors away from gambling?

Gambling is for people aged 18 and over. Keep wallet apps locked on shared phones, use parental controls and do not leave a card or an account logged in where a child can reach it.

What do we commit to?

Every page of this site shows the 18+ line and the status of online gambling in Pakistan. We write bonus amounts as ceilings, never as income, and the guides on how to play Astronaut and on the bonus start from what a round costs. Read the legal disclaimer for the legal background.
